The 5 Best Hypnotherapy Clinics in San Diego That Will Gently Nudge Your Mind in the Right Direction

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Quality of Care: We selected hypnotherapy services known for their certified therapists, personalized and results-focused approach, and consistency to ensure the clients’ overall well-being.

Communication: We preferred highly responsive staff who can provide clear schedules, updates, and replies to make communication seamless.

Facilities and Equipment: We reviewed modern clinics and studios that are well-equipped with soothing interiors, private rooms, and adequate tools for a comfortable experience.

Wait Times: We prioritized those who are punctual and prompt with appointments and follow-ups to prevent or minimize delays.

I have known this friend for years, and I have been her shoulder to cry on for every failed relationship. The most recent one was her struggle with her narcissistic husband, as he didn’t even take their marriage counseling sessions seriously.

This cost her a lot of anxiety and sleep. At first, she tried stress relief podcasts, meditation apps, and melatonin gummies, but they didn’t really work for her. On some nights, she even had nightmares, which affected the rest of her day.

Overwhelmed with the thought of going to a strict hospital, she asked me to find a reliable hypnotherapy clinic in San Diego. This way, she could get gentle, custom care without being judged. If you are in the same situation, check out our top picks below.

How much does hypnotherapy cost in San Diego?

Hypnotherapy in San Diego typically costs between $100 and $300 per session. However, the cost depends on the location, therapist’s experience, session length, and session type (virtual, in-person, private, or group).

1. Easy Way To Live Well

Address: 4445 Eastgate Mall #200

Business Hours:

  • Daily: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm

Website

Established in 2022, Easy Way To Live Well is a small, focused hypnotherapy and wellness coaching practice.

Instead of being a multi-therapist clinic, they’re led by their founder and solo-focused practitioner, Leticia Oliveira. She’s a certified clinical hypnotherapist and wellness coach, specializing in life, relationship, and family coaching.

In 2024, they launched the Neuro Transformative Pathway (NTP) Hypnosis Program, which they describe as an advanced, rapid transformation program using modern subconscious techniques.

Rather than one-off sessions, the team leans heavily on a structured, proprietary method and a strong wellness-coaching angle.

We think this appeals to clients who’d like a clear roadmap (for anxiety, habits, emotional eating, or stress), rather than a generic hypnosis that works for anything.

Besides in-person sessions, the staff offers virtual hypnosis worldwide to give more flexibility to busy individuals.

Their services are also positioned as a high-end, concierge-level practice. You will need to go through their free 20-minute discovery call to have a proper estimate, but comprehensive programs like NTP often range from $1,500 to over $3,500.

And as you know, their structured NTP Program and method requires commitment. If you are seeking a quick, single-visit fix, we feel this might not be for you.

Pros

  • Specializes in hypnotherapy and wellness coaching
  • Offers a structured proprietary hypnosis program
  • Provides a clear roadmap for habits, stress, and anxiety
  • Delivers sessions both in-person and virtually
  • Gives a complimentary 20-minute discovery call

Cons

  • Premium pricing for the NTP program

She has been a lifesaver

“Leticia was absolutely amazing! She has been such a lifesaver. Since the first meeting I felt comfortable and understood. She really keeps her promises and will truly help you accomplish your goals. This was my first hypnotherapy experience and I was blown away with the results. Leticia has helped me reach goals that I have wanted to reach for a while. She is just absolutely amazing.”

I can vouch for her expertise and enthusiasm

“I was new to Hypnosis when I met Leticia, and can vouch for her expertise, enthusiasm for what she does and her deep sense of compassion and ability to make you feel comfortable. I was surprised by how effective the sessions were in shifting my mindset, and I am convinced that hypnosis can benefit anyone who is receptive to it. Whatever your reason for seeking hypnotherapy may be, Leticia is a wonderful practitioner who will make you feel supported and cared for in her presence.”

2. HeartWise Hypnotherapy

Contact Details:

  • +1 858 330 3500

Business Hours:

  • Mon-Fri: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
  • Sat-Sun: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

Website

HeartWise Hypnotherapy provides a structured, gentle hypnotherapy style for anxiety, habits, and self-esteem.

They are led by a Certified Master Hypnotherapist, Brian Festa. He holds additional certifications in massage therapy (LMT), yoga (CYT), and mind-body coaching (C.PAM), which he blends into his therapeutic style.

It’s handy that they offer short sessions as well. For us, this is better than prolonging the hypnotherapy and wasting resources.

Moreover, they use custom audio recordings and extended support (from 9 am to 9 pm between sessions). In our view, this adds value beyond the in-office hours.

Their founder advocates a profitable private-pay model as well, allowing for fewer clients and more intensive care. They charge around $250 to $400 per session.

Additionally, this practice accepts Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) cards. FSA is the money you put in your paycheck before tax, while HSA is a savings account for health costs.

We appreciate that they even offer 3 to 6-month interest-free payment plans—a newer financial-access feature, unlike other clinics that only take cash or direct credit.

That said, someone we interviewed had a hard time reaching the team, as his call went to a Google screening service that ended the line.

Pros

  • Specializes in structured hypnotherapy
  • Shorter session options to save time and cost
  • Provides custom audio recordings
  • Extends client support hours
  • Focused care through a private-pay model
  • Accepts FSA and HSA payment options
  • Offers interest-free payment plans

Cons

  • High per-session rates
  • Limited accessibility

Caring and highly skilled hypnotherapists

“I worked with Ashera, a hypnotherapist with HeartWise Hypnotherapy San Diego, to address a deeply personal matter, and the anxiety surrounding it that I was ready to change once and for all. Both she and Brian are caring and highly skilled hypnotherapists who gave my situation the space and thoughtful attention I needed throughout our brief time together. I’m very grateful for the experience and highly recommend Brian, Ashera, and the HeartWise team.”

-Hayden Gebler, Google Review

The hypnotherapy was what I needed as I move forward

“I had some personal issues I was dealing with before working with Brian. I enjoyed the therapy sessions. It was deep but subtle the changes that allowed me to let go and move on. Heartwise is a great experience and I’m so glad I trusted and moved forward with the process. The hypnotherapy was what I needed as I move forward with the rest of my life”

3. A Deep Space

Address: 4153 Adams Ave

Business Hours:

  • Tue-Sun: 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
  • Mon: Closed

Website

A Deep Space is a small but very unique hypnotherapy studio. For one, they blend hypnosis with breathwork and sound baths, so it feels more like a “mind-body reprogramming” studio than a traditional one-on-one office.

They focus on both nervous system health and subconscious mastery, which is more specific than what most hypnotherapy clinics offer.

We reckon this combination can feel stronger for some people than plain hypnosis alone. This is especially true if they like body-based, somatic practices (such as slow stretching or ground exercises).

The team runs private sessions and group classes too, so you can enjoy being alone or part of their welcoming community.

If you want to join their membership, this can set you back for $199 per month. This already bundles studio access and group classes, which is a newer way to pay for hypnotherapy and breathwork, instead of à‑la‑carte sessions.

Otherwise, there are single hypnosis sessions that cost $222 and group class packs that cost $79 for 3 classes as well.

Pros

  • Focuses on both the mind and body
  • Offers private sessions and group classes
  • Flexible options with memberships and class packs
  • Praised for their welcoming community

Cons

  • Pricier single sessions than others

M.O. Hypnosis is a small, one-on-one focused hypnotherapy practice with a warm, science-informed, and mind-body feel.

The clinic’s Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Meredith Osetek, is known to be very client-led and experienced. She works on both deep emotional patterns and everyday habits in a clear, non-pressuring way.

Osetek began offering therapeutic hypnosis in San Diego around 2022. By late 2024, she already had multiple multi-session clients, speaking volumes about how clients find her trustworthy.

This firm is the strongest in anxiety and fear relief, habits and mindset shifts, and family-style work. A client even reported a noticeable shift after just 1 to 2 sessions. In our book, this suggests Osetek’s efficiency while remaining gentle.

Additionally, a clinical hypnotherapists with a similar level of certification typically charge between $150 and $250 per session. This is pretty standard in San Diego.

There’s also an online hypnosis here as an option, so those who can’t drive to her office can still work with her virtually.

But given that this is a single-therapist practice, your options are limited. You cannot switch to another professional in the same office if you don’t click with her.

Pros

  • Delivers custom, one-on-one sessions
  • Client-led, science-backed approach
  • Usually achieves noticeable shifts within a few sessions
  • Handy virtual hypnosis sessions
  • Charges standard local rates

Cons

  • Limited options with only 1 practitioner

Highly recommended to anyone going through a traumatic time

“MO Hypnosis helped me enormously with what I was going through. She evaluated my situation and helped me get on with my life. I had images in my head that were driving me crazy, and 2 Hypnotherapy sessions later these ugly images were not in my everyday thoughts. They aré still in my head but they are in storage somewhere in the back of my brain. Meredith Osetek,cMH knows what she’s doing and I would recommend her services to anyone going through a traumatic time. As I told her, I will continue to have Hypnotherapy sessions as needed, Thank you. Francisco R.”

-Francisco Rojas, Google Review

I have already felt progress after my first session

“I had my first hypnotherapy session with Meredith. Before my session ended I knew I wanted to continue working with her. Meredith takes the time to explain areas of the subconscious mind and how it forms certain habits that may not be beneficial. She also (with permission) asks about personal history to specifically tailor the session for maximum benefit. I have scheduled another session already and highly recommend her services as I have felt progress  already!”

SomaMind is a practice that blends hypnotherapy, Brainspotting (a body- and rain-based therapy), and somatic work in a specific way.

This clinic shines in San Diego because they don’t just do general relaxation hypnosis. They are laser-focused on betrayal trauma, narcissistic abuse recovery, and deep nervous system patterns.

The team specifically aims to help clients rebuild voice, identity, and healthy relationships. They also offer a “quiet chronic anxiety” and nervous system regulation, which we reckon appeals to people who feel stuck in low-grade but constant stress.

And if you are the artsy type, we bet you will enjoy their therapeutic journaling and creative reengagement tools to keep the work going between sessions.

Specialized therapy like this in San Diego typically ranges from $125 to $250 per session. Yet, local Brainspotting practitioners often charge higher, with $200 per 53-minute session or $275 for initial intake assessments.

The only drawback for us is that their niche focus won’t fit everyone. If you are a client who is only looking for a light habit-change or confidence-boost hypnosis, their style can feel too heavy.

Pros

  • Experts in betrayal trauma and narcissistic abuse recovery
  • Provides journaling and creative therapeutic tools
  • Addresses chronic, low-grade anxiety problems

Cons

  • Higher rates

The most soothing voice, truly perfect for hypnotherapy

“I’ve had the most amazing experience with Mercedeh. I’ve been going through a lot lately and was feeling incredibly anxious before our session. Honestly, I didn’t think I’d be able to relax at all… however, I became more relaxed than I’ve felt in a long time. Mercedeh has the most soothing and calming voice, which is truly perfect for hypnotherapy. She created such a safe and supportive space, and I walked away from the session feeling lighter, calmer, and more grounded. I can’t recommend her enough🩷”

-Christina Sherberg, Google Review

Kind, empathetic, and trustworthy

“I cannot say enough good things about my session with Mercedeh. She’s kind, empathetic and trustworthy. I felt very safe and supported during my time with her. I truly believe she has her clients best interests in mind when she’s conducting this work.”

-Alexis P, Google Review
