The 5 Best Window Installers in San Diego for Better Views and Energy Efficiency

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Installation Expertise: I looked for contractors with trained crews, consistent workmanship, and careful measurement processes. A precise, weather-tight installation matters because even a great window can fail if it is fitted poorly.

Window Options and Materials: I considered whether each company offers practical choices in vinyl, fiberglass, wood, aluminum, and specialty glass. A wider product range makes it easier to match your home’s architecture and energy needs.

Pricing and Value: I paid attention to clear estimates, warranty coverage, and whether the finished work feels worth the investment. Good value is not just the lowest price, especially when windows are meant to last for years.

Reputation and Customer Feedback: I looked for companies with a steady record of clean installations and responsive service. Positive reviews carried more weight when they mentioned communication, punctuality, and how crews handled the home.

Upgrading your property is a powerful way to secure your investment, and finding the best window installer in San Diego is a crucial step in that journey.

If you’re a homeowner seeking greater energy efficiency or a developer aiming for premium aesthetics, the right windows instantly elevate a space.

Quality installations lock in comfort, frame our stunning coastal views, and add serious long-term value to your real estate portfolio. But with so many contractors promising top-tier results, making a confident choice can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming.

I’ve spent time assessing local experts to help you navigate this essential upgrade smoothly. Let’s explore the top professionals ready to transform your property.

1. Newman Windows and Doors

Address: 4620 Alvarado Canyon Road, Suite 11

Contact: (619) 790-8450

Hours: By Appointment Only

Taking control of a window project is easier when the company owns the whole process.

Newman Windows and Doors uses full-time in-house installers instead of subcontractors. This setup gives the team more accountability from the first measurement to the final cleanup.

If you’re already coordinating other maintenance, like hiring pool cleaners in San Diego, Newman’s organized crew can make the window part feel less chaotic.

Plus, their lifetime labor warranty adds peace of mind for homeowners concerned about leaks or poor sealing. I also like that their showroom gives you a real place to compare hardware and finishes.

The only real drawback is scheduling flexibility since the showroom and consultation process both require advance booking.

Pros

  • Full-time employed installers
  • Physical San Diego showroom
  • Lifetime labor warranty
  • Old unit removal included

Cons

  • Showroom is by appointment only
  • Requires advance scheduling

Customer Reviews

Courteous and careful

What a wonderful job Preston and Rudy did installing my entry area window and dealing so successfully with replacing the stained glass that was behind the old window. They were courteous and careful. Thanks also to Randy who helped me with this job. I came back to Newman and was as satisfied with this install as I have been with each previous one.

Finished the job quickly

Had my window replaced and the team was great every step of the way. Provided a quick estimate and a date for install, then showed up and finished the job quickly. Window looks great. Thanks to Jacob, Brandon and Mario for doing a great job!!

2. US Window & Door

Energy efficiency is a top priority for many San Diego homes, and US Window & Door excels when the project requires technical precision.

As a Milgard Certified Dealer and Installer, this company specializes in retrofit and new construction work using factory-trained techniques for energy-efficient glass systems.

I like that their project managers stay involved during measurement and installation, because that is where costly fit problems usually start. They also use low-dust procedures, which matters if you’re living in the home during the upgrade.

I’m just slightly disappointed with their selection. Their focus leans heavily toward major brands like Milgard and Fleetwood, so homeowners looking for niche, ultra-budget, or less common manufacturers may feel boxed in.

Pros

  • Certified Master Installer designation
  • Low-dust installation procedures
  • Customized sizing per unit
  • Dedicated project managers

Cons

  • Limited brand variety
  • Few budget-tier options available

Customer Reviews

Very well priced

We used US Window & Door for our new home remodel and they did a wonderful job! I would HIGHLY recommend them for any window installation! They were very well priced, professional, and our windows look incredible!

Great job

US Window & Door did a great job on our new windows and patio slider. They were easy to work with and the new windows are a huge upgrade — I noticed how much quieter they were the very first night.

3. Sivan Windows and Doors

Website:https://sivanwindowsanddoors.com/

Address: 9596 Chesapeake Drive Suite B

Contact: 1 (800) 748-2601

Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Flexibility is where Sivan Windows and Doors stands out. Their catalog covers vinyl, aluminum, wood, and fiberglass frames, which makes it easier to match the look of older homes, modern condos, or larger residential builds.

A colleague who used them for a major renovation liked the sound-dampening glass because it made a downtown unit feel noticeably calmer.

I also appreciate that they can help with California Title 24 building energy code requirements, which is useful when efficiency standards matter.

Just a heads up: They’re closed on weekends, so consultations and installation coordination need to happen during the workweek.

Overall, though, their range of materials and experience with larger glass units make them a strong option for more customized projects.

Pros

  • Meets California Title 24 building energy code
  • Diverse window types available
  • Sound-dampening glass options
  • Handles large-scale glass logistics

Cons

  • Closed on weekends
  • Weekday-only availability

Customer Reviews

Very professional

Highly recommend! Sivan was the most responsive company when I was requesting a quote. They were also $500 less than another company. The custom window came in early and they were able to install it the very next day! The install crew was very professional, clean and they did quick work. Check out these before and after pictures!

Faster than expected install

The Sivan team was awesome for our window upgrades. Quickly came out to measure, provide quotes (best one we saw), and talk us through the window options. They were not afraid to make recommendations based on our circumstances/needs and stand by their options, which was very refreshing and helpful. They got the install done on a faster timeline than we expected. If you are thinking about upgrading windows/doors, start with Sivan.

4. BM Windows

Website:https://www.bmwindowsca.com/

Address: 9373 Activity Road, Suite G

Contact: (858) 621-6287

Hours: Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

BM Windows is a good fit if you already know you want vinyl replacement windows and prefer a straightforward sales process. Their no-pressure consultation style is a relief, especially if you dislike high-intensity home improvement pitches.

Their crews focus on residential retrofitting, which can help avoid major stucco or drywall repairs around the window opening. I also like that their lifetime product and labor warranty gives the project a stronger long-term safety net.

I just found their material choice to be limited. Their catalog centers mainly on vinyl, so homeowners looking for traditional full-wood, steel, or highly custom architectural frames may need a different installer.

For practical replacements in San Diego’s coastal climate, though, their focused approach makes a lot of sense.

Pros

  • No-pressure sales approach
  • Lifetime product and labor warranty
  • Specialized retrofitting techniques
  • Multi-chambered frame construction

Cons

  • Primarily vinyl catalog
  • Lacks traditional wood or steel options

Customer Reviews

Professional installation crew

These windows are amazing! Considering our original windows, these windows are much quieter, have better thermal properties, look great, and there are no leaks. The install crew was professional and took care of every detail, even vacuuming up any debris. 1000% satisfied.

The install went very smoothly

We had a great experience with BM Windows. Jim was a pleasure to deal with as he walked us through the process as he measured our windows and provided a cost for their installation. The install went very smoothly, and we found their work to be professional quality. We started with 3 windows and will definitely use BM again when we’re ready to replace more. Needless to say, we’re very happy with our experience with them.

5. 360 Windows and Doors

360-windows-and-doors-logo

Website:https://www.360windowsanddoors.com/

Address: 7847 Dunbrook Rd, Suite C

Contact: (619) 331-5246

Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

360 Windows and Doors is worth considering if your main goals are comfort, reduced heat gain, and a cleaner whole-home look.

Their products include Low-E (low-emissivity) glass technology, which helps reduce solar heat transfer in bright San Diego homes.

They also handle full removal and replacement, so you don’t have to piece together separate crews for old-frame removal and new-unit fitting. I also like that they can pair windows with patio doors for a more cohesive finish across the property.

The downside when working with them is the scheduling. Like planning routine work such as air duct cleaning, you need to work around their weekday-only hours. That can be inconvenient for people who can’t meet installers during standard business hours.

Pros

  • Comprehensive removal and replacement
  • Various aesthetic grid and color options
  • Integrated patio door systems
  • Local San Diego distribution facility

Cons

  • Weekday-only operating hours
  • Less flexible scheduling

Customer Reviews

100% recommend

Malake and Zach were extremely prompt and communicative. They worked with me directly on scheduling and advised how to best prepare for the install, which was extremely helpful. Their installers came at the start of the day and installed all windows before I even finished work. I would 100% recommend their services to anybody. Pricing was great also!

Service was wonderful

We used 360 Windows and Doors to install all new windows in our home in La Mesa. We were blown away by the difference the made. Our houses is so much cooler and it’s brighter inside! The service was wonderful. Zach and his team were very clean when they installed the windows you could hardly tell they were even here. It already referred them to a friend who is looking for new windows! Highly recommend!
