Living in such a vibrant city means always wanting to look your absolute best, but who has time for mascara every morning?

I’ve actually spent quite a bit of time scouting the local beauty scene to find studios that prioritize both safety and style.
Whether you need a subtle boost for the office or high-drama volume for a weekend in the Gaslamp Quarter, these spots offer incredible results.
I looked into everything from application techniques to long-term retention to make sure you get the most for your money, so read on!

1. LashBar Downtown SD

Website: https://www.lashbar.com/
Address: 350 N 11th Ave #131
Contact: +1 (619) 693-6651
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM; Saturday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
LashBar Downtown SD felt like the kind of studio built for people who want pretty lashes without gambling with their natural ones.
Their mandatory consultation stood out because the appointment starts with lash health rather than just style requests. Overall, this is a convenient stop if you’re already comparing options for permanent makeup in San Diego.
I also liked that their fill policy is time-based rather than strictly counting how many lashes you have left, so the focus stays on getting the set looking balanced again.
The studio has a polished, professional feel, which is reassuring for long-term wearers. I would just be careful with scheduling. Their 24-hour cancellation rule is strict, and late changes can mean a 50% fee.
I’m absolutely obsessed
I got my lashes done by Corrine and I’m absolutely obsessed! She was so gentle and detail oriented the entire time, and made sure I was comfortable throughout my appointment. My lashes came out perfectly, full, fluffy, and exactly how I wanted them. She really takes her time to make sure everything looks even and natural.

10/10
I went there on a whim to get my lashes done and the moment I walked in I felt welcomed. The inside was nice and clean, and they even had a sign with my name on it. I got my lashes done by Lilly and she did an amazing job. She was able to meet my needs and offered great insight.

2. San Diego Lashes – Bay Park

Website: https://www.sdlashes.com/
Address: 3050 1/2 Clairemont Dr.
Contact: (619) 415-6677
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM; Saturday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
San Diego Lashes – Bay Park is a strong fit if your eyes need more than a one-size-fits-all lash map.
They carry a wide range of lash types and lengths, so the final set can be adjusted around your eye shape, preferred fullness, and comfort level.
I especially liked that the team is made up of licensed estheticians and cosmetologists, since that matters when someone is working this close to your eyes.
Their sensitive adhesive, lint-free gel pads, and patch-test option also make the studio feel more thoughtful for cautious clients.
The main tradeoff is the booking setup. Full sets require a $50 deposit, and the many styling options may feel overwhelming if this is your first lash appointment.
Amazing experiences getting my lash extensions
I’ve had amazing experiences getting my lash extensions here with Grace. She listens to what you’re looking for, explained the process and types of lashes available, and catered to my needs. I highly recommend her!

Pleased with the results
I wanted to get my lashes done for an upcoming trip and looked up places near me. San Diego Lashes had great reviews so I booked an appointment with Rose. She ran a little late, but texted me to let me know, which I appreciated. I wanted a full and natural look, and I am pleased with the results.

3. Thao SD Brow & Lash San Diego CA

Website: https://www.thaosdbrowandlash.com/
Address: 7860 Mission Center Court, Suite 209
Contact: (619) 536-5868
Hours: Monday, Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM; Wednesday, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Sunday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Thao SD Brow & Lash works well for anyone trying to fit lashes around a packed week. The studio is open seven days a week, which immediately makes scheduling less stressful than it is at many beauty spots.
A regular client I spoke with said the complimentary 30-minute consultation helped her feel comfortable before booking a more advanced set.
I also like how clearly the online booking system separates basic and advanced lash options. It makes comparing styles easier once you know what you want.
It’s also an excellent hub for exploring dermal fillers in San Diego as part of your beauty journey.
The only downside is that the broad service menu can feel overwhelming for first-timers. Since they also offer facials and other beauty treatments, this may not feel as lash-focused as a smaller specialty studio.
A great experience getting my lashes done here
I had such a great experience getting my lashes done here! The space is warm and relaxing, and the music choice was lovely and calming throughout the appointment. My lashes turned out beautiful, and the overall vibe made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place.

I couldn’t be happier
I came here for the first time to get my birthday lashes with Amber and I couldn’t be happier! She did an amazing job and exceeded my expectations. 4. Rbeauty

Website: https://rbeautysd.com/
Address: 4966 El Cajon Blvd
Contact: (619) 882-1340
Hours: Monday, Wednesday, 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM; Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM; Saturday-Sunday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Rbeauty is a good pick if you want an artist with years of hands-on lash experience instead of a rushed, trendy appointment.
Rania, the licensed cosmetologist behind the studio, brings more than 20 years of industry experience and offers styles ranging from classic sets to fuller-volume looks.
I also like that she offers keratin-based lash lifts for clients who want something lower maintenance than extensions. The rewards stamp card is a nice touch for regulars because lash upkeep can add up quickly.
That said, the studio recommends fills every two to three weeks, so the maintenance schedule may feel demanding. Monday and Wednesday hours also end earlier than the rest of the week.
Very pleased with them
R does beautiful work. I’ve been having my lashes done on a regular basis for several months now and am very pleased with them. It is so nice to wake up and not have to worry about mascara. Truly a time saver. She is very reasonable, not like some that really gouge. I’d give her 10 stars if I could.

I love my lash extensions! I got the volume hybrids. They feel so soft and feather like. I’ve been getting individuals for years. This is the first time using these types of lashes. She knows a lot about lashes! I got post care instructions with a brush. I highly recommend her services.

5. Garnet Lash Studios

Website: https://garnetlash.com/pages/san-diego
Address: 2053 Garnet Ave
Contact: (619) 339-4529
Hours: Monday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Tuesday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Garnet Lash Studios is a standout for people who care about technical precision.
The studio was founded by master artist Danielle Rae and focuses only on lashes, which gives the whole place a specialized feel.
I found it reassuring that their stylists must pass a rigorous audition before working with clients. Also, their handmade volume fans are applied based on what each natural lash can safely support.
Their booking system also pulls availability across all stylists, making it easier to find a time without contacting each artist separately.
However, master artists can book up quickly, and the listed schedule doesn’t show weekend hours, so planning ahead is smart.
Amazing job
Garnet Lash Studios was so clean and aesthetically pleasing, and the space makes you feel so calm! Danielle was so welcoming and kind. Karissa did such an amazing job on my lashes. I always get nervous trying a new lash studio, but she killed it. If you’re looking for a new lash studio in San Diego this is it!
