Contact: 858-560-5686 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Finding a child care center that truly balances early academics with character building is rare, but Adventure Days Preschool nails it.
They focus on whole-child education by nurturing kids socially and spiritually through daily purposeful play. As a ministry of Legacy Church, they incorporate gentle Christian values and weekly chapel visits into the schedule.
They even teach infant sign language so babies can communicate their needs before speaking.
Parents love the flexibility of choosing part-time or full-time care across the week. The center also makes mornings easier by providing daily snacks and welcoming toddlers who aren’t potty-trained yet.
Plus, military families get a helpful fifty percent discount on the initial registration fee.
The only real catch is that the $250 registration fee per student is strictly nonrefundable. You’ll lose that deposit if your family plans change before your child’s first day.

Wonderful Preschool Experience for Daughter
LOVE LOVE LOVE Adventure Days. My daughter loves Ms. Melissa’s class and all the fun, interactive activities they do every single day. The director, Ms. Giles, and all the staff genuinely care for each child and you can clearly see that.
We’ve seen our daughter mature leaps and bounds in the year she’s attended. Her favorite day is chapel day where they get to sing and dance! We couldn’t have asked for a better preschool experience for her.

Safe and Supportive Learning Environment
I attended this amazing preschool as a child and all these years later I still look back with so much love. I am still able to go visit Ms. Yaube and Ms. Colleen! If you are looking for a place where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn about Jesus, I can’t recommend this preschool enough.

2. Carmel Mountain Preschool

Website: carmelmountainpreschool.com
Address: 9510 Carmel Mountain Road
Contact: (858)-267-4744 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Carmel Mountain Preschool sits on a massive three-acre campus that feels like a natural playground for young learners. Here, kids can explore age-appropriate playgrounds and an outdoor garden to build gross motor skills daily.
When it comes to lessons, the teachers use Conscious Discipline techniques, guiding kids through breathing exercises to foster emotional self-regulation. This facility also offers a Spanish immersion Pre-K class to help students build bilingual fluency early on.
Working parents benefit greatly from the no-cost extended hours, allowing kindergarteners to stay until 5:30 PM.
I spoke to a local mom who works remotely from their free onsite Orchard Offices, and she loves staying productive while her son learns nearby.
However, the tuition pricing is budget-inflexible since it focuses entirely on a premium program structure. Also, toddlers only visit the specialized art studio and nature lab a few times a month rather than daily.

Tremendous Growth and Emotional Development
We love this preschool ! Our 3y/o has grown tremendously in the short time she has been here. There is a wonderful balance with helping the children grow emotionally , socially and intellectually. We appreciate that the teachers really focus on fostering the children’s independence. Also the staff does a great job of communicating with the parents. My wife and I are confident that this is the best place our daughter can be right now. We highly recommend CMP!

High Quality Care and Attention
My wife and I have been looking for a good preschool for our son and decided to come and tour CMP. We both loved this school so much and we signed up our 3 year old to attend it. We could have not been more happier with the quality of care and attention our son receives on daily basis. We recently signed up our youngest son to attend this school as well. I can honestly say that this school is worth every penny we pay for it!

3. Kid Ventures Preschool Academy

Website: kidventurespreschool.com
Address: 10760 Thornmint Rd
Contact: (858) 307-6088
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Kid Ventures Preschool Academy successfully merges the Montessori educational philosophy with Reggio Emilia enrichment methods. This unique curriculum integrates research-backed developmental skills right into fun, hands-on classroom projects.
I love that they operate multiple licensed campuses across San Diego, making the morning commute manageable for many families. You can also pick a flexible monthly schedule of two to five days a week.
If you’re not sure, you can schedule a complimentary trial visit, letting your kids test the environment before you commit to enrolling.
And when comes time to pay the bill, I appreciate that they partner with state and military programs to provide vital tuition assistance to qualifying households.
The main downside is their toddler program requires a mandatory five-day commitment without any part-time options. That rigid schedule costs a steep $2,250 per month.
Open classroom spots also fill up incredibly fast, meaning you might get stuck on a long waitlist.

Best Decision for My Son
Absolutely the best decision that I made for my two year old son. I don’t know where to start since I love everything about this preschool. The teachers and the owner are amazing since they care about each child and support them in everyway possible. They want your child to develop socially, emotionally and mentally. They teach them important life skills, independence, manners, cultivate creativity, and much more. They even helped my son get potty trained.

4. Kids’ Care Club

Website: kidscareclub.com
Address: 10414 Craftsman Way
Contact: (858) 675-7000 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Kids’ Care Club holds a prestigious National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation. They run a whole-child curriculum pulling the best concepts from Waldorf and Montessori frameworks.
I visited their 4S Ranch campus recently, and watching the kids explore the hands-on outdoor gardening stations was fantastic.
And I love how the teachers send live updates, photos, and activity logs straight to your phone using the Learning Genie app.
Speaking of teachers, the staff turnover is very low here, with most holding relevant degrees and staying for years. The educators even partner directly with parents to handle toddler potty training through positive reinforcement.
But keep in mind that they don’t offer any make-up days if your child misses school for illness or travel. Also, when an enrollment spot opens up, you only have one week to confirm before they pass it to the next family.

Caring and Dedicated Staff
Our son attended this preschool for nearly three years, and we couldn’t have asked for a better start to his learning journey. The teachers and staff are incredibly caring, patient, and dedicated. He always felt loved, supported, and excited to go to school each day. We also truly appreciate how responsibly and thoughtfully the management handled every situation. It’s a wonderful place that feels like family — we’re so grateful for the experience!

5. Silverman Preschool

Website: tissd.org/preschool
Address: 6660 Cowles Mountain Boulevard
Contact: 619 697-6001 | Fax: 619 697-1102 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Silverman Preschool has supported early childhood development in San Diego for nearly fifty years. They use an emergent play-based curriculum where teachers observe individual interests to guide the monthly learning themes.
Since the program is tied to a synagogue, kids participate in weekly music sessions with the Rabbi and learn Jewish customs. Every classroom also features dedicated Judaica stations to naturally integrate Hebrew vocabulary into daily play.
We love that their Gesher Transitional Kindergarten program parallels local state school standards but operates on a full-day schedule for working parents. Families enjoy flexible enrollment schedules starting from six weeks old up to five years.
One drawback is that parents must prepare and pack all meals and snacks from home every single day. Furthermore, the specialized faith-centered curriculum might not fit families looking for a completely secular early education environment.
