Bonjour Patisserie is the kind of place I’d choose when I want something elegant without feeling overdone. 

Chef Romain Mores brings a true French pastry background to the shop, and that shows in the light sponge, glossy finishes, and buttery textures.

I stopped in for one of their vanilla and berry creations, and the flavor felt fresh instead of heavy. The bakery also has family-size signature pastries, which help if you want a centerpiece that feels more refined than a standard sheet cake.

One of the best cakes I’ve had in my life. The best I can describe when biting into this piece of heaven was taking a deep swan dive into a chocolatey pool of Ferrero Rochers all packed within a perfect form of a cake.

The Friday night line was long but totally worth it

The Friday night line was long but totally worth it. I got the gluten free chocolate cake. Sounds blah because it’s “Gluten Free” but it was the best chocolate cake I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this place.

The carrot cake is ridiculously good

Spacious interior, nice outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. You can order at the counter, and they have a large array of delicious desserts, similar to the Little Italy location. Lots of freshly prepared tarts, cakes, etc. Recommend the lemon tart if you like sour desserts. The carrot cake is ridiculously good, as is almost every other dessert I’ve gotten from here.

The cakes are always top notch

I’ve ordered from here for our wedding and now for a first communion. I’ve also ordered for many other occasions over the years. The cakes are always top notch and, as a local, I’ve not yet found a bakery I trust more for special occasion cakes. This particular time most of our adult guests even came back for seconds!

The black forest cake was phenomenal

Ordered the black forest cake for Christmas Eve dessert and it was phenomenal! The cake was rich and moist and the mousse and topping was light and airy. I could not stop eating it even though I was full from dinner. It was also perfectly sweet, not overly so like cakes purchased at the grocery store. This bakery will now be my go-to for special occasion cakes.

I would come here for a smaller celebration where taste matters more than flashy decoration. The freezer-friendly pound cakes and ready-to-go treats also help when you need something reliable without a long design consultation.

Such a lovely, welcoming atmosphere

Been coming here since I was a child. So many family traditions every Easter we get our lamb cake, every Christmas we get the chocolate yule log, and my brother’s wedding cake was from here. Such a lovely, welcoming atmosphere! I have so many favorites, but the cheese Danish, scones, Bobby Cakes, and Swiss Cream Horns are at the top of the list.

As close to an authentic German bakery as you will find in Southern California! We have struggled trying to find an authentic German Chocolate Cake and have been frustrated by what we’ve been getting from the supermarket bakeries as well as other standalone bakeries. Their version of this cake is probably the closest that we have found to being the real deal.
