They masterfully blend hyper-seasonal daily menu rotations with whimsical takes on classics, ensuring every visit feels like a brand-new culinary adventure. 

I recently brought a foodie friend here, and we were absolutely floored by the “Yodel” dessert—a refined, high-tech spin on a nostalgic snack cake that explodes with flavor. 

The lively, Michelin-recognized atmosphere gives off an energetic “big night out” vibe, especially if you grab a drink at their playful “Juni” bar concept. 

While the open kitchen and concrete floors create a fantastic buzz, it does result in significant noise levels that can make intimate conversation a bit tricky. 

Additionally, service pacing sometimes slows down during their bustling weekend service, but those vibrant, farm-fresh seafood bites make the wait completely worth it.

Exceeded every expectation

One of the best fine-dining experiences I’ve had in a long time, Michelin star restaurants included. I took my husband here for his 49th birthday, and Juniper and Ivy exceeded every expectation.

Every dish just kept getting better, starting with an unforgettable amuse bouche and ending with an otherworldly dessert. The wagyu carpaccio was hands-down the best I’ve ever had, and the wagyu sirloin and seafood pasta were flawless. Incredible service, thoughtful cocktails, and a beautiful industrial-chic space that feels warm and inviting.

Highly recommend. Everyone should eat here at least once.

Beyond the incredible cuts of meat, they elevate the meal with unique “Steak Companions” like truffle-poached lobster, alongside the legendary “Fleming’s 100,” an award-winning curation of one hundred wines poured by the glass. If you plan on exploring wine tasting spots around the city, this extensive cellar is a magnificent place to start your evening.

May 19 was our 30th wedding anniversary. We “normally” celebrate at Flemings……

With all of the fine dining places closed or with restrictions we decided to call in our curbside order to our favorite spot!

Flemings went a step up and posted on their front window when we pulled up! It was such a nice surprise and made our day special. The food was great and we will definitely be back for more great food! thank you Flemings for our special day!

What an unbelievable experience at Southern California’s most acclaimed fine dining restaurant. Only 3 MICHELIN-Starred restaurant in Southern Cali. California Gastronomy at its best. Our server Olivier was absolutely amazing. Every dish that came out was absolutely unbelievable. Table side Louie XIII just puts the icing on the cake. It’s been a couple months and I still can’t stop thinking about it and talking about it. If you are looking to have a dining experience that will change your life, then you have to go to Addison! Best birthday dinner ever.

While the sunset views are absolutely unmatched, navigating the Embarcadero area means you will likely face frustrating parking challenges during peak tourist season. 

Additionally, you’re certainly paying a premium price for that waterfront real estate, making it noticeably more expensive than other seafood joints in the neighborhood.

Top of the Market once again has gone above and beyond with the Food, Staff and service. Top notch experience. Gabby and the staff made our special occasion even more special.

I highly recommend Top of the Market for a wonderful experience for any occasion especially your anniversary and birthday. They have outside seating overlooking the beautiful San Diego Bay. I’ve been to a lot of fine dining places but Top of the Market takes the Top spot on my list.

One of the most amazing restaurants in San Diego. Food is always amazing and did not disappoint during the COVID-19 restrictions. The service is what expect from a fine dining establishment and then some. They went well above and beyond to make it a memorable experience.

The beautifully designed space feels elevated yet totally unpretentious, serving up mouthwatering fusion creations like vadouvan-spiced ravioli that dance on the tongue. 

However, because the dining room is remarkably small, securing a prime-time reservation is notoriously difficult and leaves little room for larger parties. 

The cozy, hard-surfaced interior also amplifies the noise levels significantly when the house is full, which might detract from the quiet elegance you might expect from a Michelin-recognized bistro.
