Cam did an excellent job
Cam and Lando made sure our “discover scuba” experience was 10/10! This is a short dive for those who want an intro to scuba diving (I am not certified). Lando was very communicative throughout the booking process and Cam was our guide. Cam did an excellent job, teaching us about the basics of how to communicate and how to use our gear (Which he provided). He made sure we were comfortable the entire time and took us to the best places to see the sea lions!

San Diego Scuba Pros – An Unforgettable Diving Experience!
We can’t say enough great things about San Diego Scuba Pros. We traveled down from Seattle in December and were highly recommended to dive with them—and they exceeded every expectation. From the very first interaction, the team was welcoming, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable.

2. Scuba San Diego

Website: https://scubasandiego.com
Address: 8008 Girard Ave #120

Hours: Monday and Tuesday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Thursday to Sunday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Exploring the protected La Jolla Cove Ecological Reserve gives you a front-row seat to spot vibrant marine life.
Scuba San Diego takes you right into these waters as part of their comprehensive, unhurried training philosophy. They boast over five decades of local operational history along the coast, something that gives newbies some peace of mind.
I chatted with a recent student who praised their patience during those initial, nerve-wracking shore entries. They bundle your base group certification fee with essential textbooks and equipment, simplifying your overall expenses.
You can even customize a semi-private training schedule around your own shared availability.
That said, earning your certification here demands some serious physical effort. You must pass a rigorous swimming evaluation that includes a fifty-foot lateral underwater swim on a single breath.
They also impose rigid safety thresholds for their introductory experiences, requiring participants to be strong swimmers over thirteen years old.

My son and I had an adventure of a lifetime
We had the BEST time! My son and I had an adventure of a lifetime and we must send a heartfelt thank you to Joy.
We vacation annually in California and Joy’s snorkeling/scuba company will become a regular part of our family activities to enjoy while visiting.
I highly recommend Joy as a snorkeling guide and I can’t wait to go out and make new adventures again.

Joy was a great guide
Did my first dive in San Diego with Scuba San Diego, and they were great. Registration was easy, and they communicated with me right up until that morning, even providing the guides cell phone number. Both dives were great with a nice break in between, and the sea lion encounter is by far the best part as you enter and exit La Jolla Cove. Joy was a great guide and was very helpful with the gear as well as the marine life. Be advised that the current can be tricky in the cove, and visibility is limited at times.

The staff and instructors are amazing
Ocean enterprises staff and instructors are amazing. Did the open ocean course with my 13-yr old son and we both got certified. The best thing is that both, Jason and Jayme gave me 100% assurance that my son would be safe and that he had all eyes on him. The class is fun and extra safety measures at all times. Jason, Jayme and the rest of the team are awesome!!!
Definitely recommend OE for your scuba adventure.

We were under the gun for an upcoming trip and needed to get our 13 year old daughter scuba pool safety courses completed and two refreshers completed. Mark, our scuba divemaster, was amazing. He was so positive, patient, thorough and professional. Ocean Enterprises was so great getting everything arranged for our lessons and fittings for the gear. Highly recommend!

I recently recommended this shop to a friend, and she loved how relaxed and thorough her open-water sessions felt. You can even find accelerated career options if you want to enter the marine workforce quickly.
Their entry-level rental packages provide your heavy equipment, but they don’t supply everything. You must purchase your own personal swim accessories, like a mask, snorkel, and fins.
Those entering the professional leadership program face steep investment rules, requiring you to own a complete diving system.

Training was comprehensive
Did my SSI Open water training with them. Class size is limited to 6 people. Training was comprehensive and I was equipped with the knowledge I needed to dive independently.(With a buddy) All the instructors are really passionate about diving! Our last open water training dive was cancelled due to water conditions, Kumar made it his personal mission to get me certified before my trip to Maui. Thanks Kumar!
I recommend getting gear fitted in store, their prices are about the same as online prices. My scuba mask, that was fitted by Kumar, fits and works perfectly!

So knowledgeable and always willing to help
I have wanted to learn to scuba dive for years. I was finally able to take the course – I was strongly recommended to take SSI and go through Beyond Land Adventures. I had absolutely no regrets. They are so knowledgeable and always willing to help. Chris was my instructor for the open water course – he made it fun. It was more of a learning curve than I expected but with the way the course is taught it actually sunk in – lol

They are simply the best
If you’re anything like me and research every single dive place extensively before committing to one, then this is your sign to stop the search and go with Dive in SCUBA because they are simply the best and you will not be disappointed.
Julian was attentive from the moment l met him. He’s everything you want/need in a guide when diving: clear and direct instruction and prep before even getting in the water, calm and patient demeanor, excellent navigator, and overall just a wonderful human being.
