Website:http://sdpainrelief.com/

Address: 2667 Camino del Rio S Suite 209, San Diego, CA 92108

Contact: (619) 282-8068

Hours: Mon, Wed, Fri: 11:00 AM–7:30 PM

Tackling specific male health concerns like prostate issues requires a targeted approach, which is precisely where Natural Health & Acupuncture in San Diego excels.

Led by Dr. Greg S.S. Song and his two decades of clinical experience, the clinic integrates Oriental medicine with nutritional counseling to address root causes rather than merely masking symptoms.

I visited Dr. Song’s office last month to manage a stubborn bout of sciatica, and his customized nutritional advice immediately enhanced the needle therapy.

Beyond general pain management, they treat complex neurological conditions like Bell’s Palsy alongside specialized natural weight management programs.

The highly traditional focus on Oriental medicine works wonders for many, though it might not suit patients seeking an approach integrated with Western sports medicine.

Additionally, because the practice relies entirely on Dr. Song’s personal expertise, scheduling last-minute emergency appointments can sometimes prove difficult.

Pros

  • Focuses on underlying causes of pain
  • Broad range of treatable ailments
  • Customized lifestyle and nutrition plans
  • Natural weight management options

Cons

  • Limited practitioner availability
  • Strictly traditional treatment approach

Customer Reviews

Overall acupuncture was not for me. However, Fawsi and Rosita are extremely caring people and on top of that, very intelligent with what they do. When I found out acupuncture wasn’t helping my specific case, (genetic spine disorder, so I knew it was a long shot) they had no issue returning the money for sessions I was not going to use.

Very low pressure, very clean, very friendly.

Highly recommend for those in pain.

I came here experiencing problems in my back problems and with anxiety and panic. During this session, the doctor was very inspirational and was telling us his experiences with life. When he started the acupuncture for my back and neck, he put the needle and I automatically felt relaxed and relieved. This was super helpful and I would recommend this place.

2. The OM Acupuncture Wellness

Website:http://theomacupuncture.com/

Address: 1011 Camino del Rio S # 100, San Diego, CA 92108

Contact: (619) 915-6007

Hours: Mon, Thu: 10:00 AM–7:00 PM; Tue, Fri: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM; Sat: 10:00 AM–3:00 PM

Patients seeking highly qualified care will appreciate the doctorate-level expertise at The OM Acupuncture Wellness, led by Dr. Sadi Jirau.

The clinic operates on a specialized philosophy that simultaneously treats immediate pain symptoms and their underlying root causes for lasting relief. By coupling standard needle treatments with supportive modalities like infrared heat therapy, they accelerate soft tissue healing effectively.

Much like visiting specialized hypnotherapy clinics for targeted mental health support, this boutique space offers deeply personalized wellness plans tailored to your specific lifestyle.

That said, they maintain a strict focus on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), meaning you will need to coordinate with outside providers if you require chiropractic adjustments.

Furthermore, relying on a solo practitioner means flexible same-day scheduling is occasionally restricted during busy periods.

Pros

  • High-level clinical credentials
  • Wide variety of treatment services
  • Specialized internal health protocols
  • Modernized infrared heat therapies

Cons

  • Limited same-day appointment flexibility
  • Strict focus on traditional methods

Customer Reviews

I love OM! I’ve gone to many places for acupuncture and I find this to be top notch. I get wonderful care and it has been helping me from the first visit. The staff is very friendly and professional, and the facilities are beautiful and relaxing! I like everyone I have seen and the last few times I have seen Dr. Song, she is gentle and her treatments have helped to relax to the point I feel my body “let go”. I highly recommend OM!

Went in for neuropathy and stiffness in feet, legs and hands. I know that acupuncture and cupping takes time to work, like any good therapy, but I WAS AMAZED at how much more mobility I had after one (my first) treatment! WOW! Beautiful facility and very friendly, helpful staff, too. Can’t wait to go again.

3. Sage Haven

Website:https://sagehavensd.com/

Address: 3565 Del Rey St #300, San Diego, CA 92109

Contact: (619) 786-8960

Hours: Mon: 1:00 PM–7:00 PM; Tue-Thu: 8:30 AM–7:00 PM; Fri: 8:30 AM–6:00 PM; Sat: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM

Designing a sanctuary specifically for women’s health, Sage Haven excels at using targeted acupuncture to address deeply personal issues like hormone regulation and postpartum care.

Their collaborative team of doctors employs a unique holistic skin activation method, combining clinical facial acupuncture with high-end skincare as a natural alternative to Botox.

I recently accompanied a friend here for an initial consultation, and the structured 12-week acupuncture care plan they mapped out felt incredibly reassuring.

They also bundle extra modalities like glass fire cupping and infrared heat into their acupuncture sessions if medically necessary.

While this sanctuary-style atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, individuals accustomed to the sterile environments of traditional osteopaths might find the vibe slightly unconventional. The clinic also relies heavily on these consistent 12-week programs, making the commute potentially challenging for those living far from Pacific Beach.

Pros

  • All-inclusive modality pricing
  • Advanced integrated skincare technology
  • Simultaneous internal and external care
  • Emphasis on long-term wellness education

Cons

  • Not suitable for patients used to clinical environments
  • Potential commute challenges for frequent visits

Customer Reviews

I love coming to Sage Haven for acupuncture and cosmetic acupuncture! The acupuncture facial is absolutely heavenly – it includes body acupuncture, facial acupuncture, LED light therapy, facial gua sha and microcurrent therapy. I always leave my appointments feeling so glowy and amazing! Dr. Cassie always knows exactly what my skin needs, and has been so helpful in my skincare and healing journey. I love the berry collagen cocktails and the office’s aesthetic is on point 👌🏼 I already can’t wait for my next visit!!!

I can’t say enough good things about Sage Haven. Every acupuncturist that works here is phenomenal, they are all so caring, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The aesthetic is gorgeous and clean. If I could leave 6 stars I would!

4. Lorena Lee Acupuncture

Website:https://www.drlorenalee.com/

Address: 3737 Moraga Ave Unit B210, San Diego, CA 92117

Contact: (858) 366-8833

Hours: Mon: 11:30 AM–5:00 PM; Tue: 9:30 AM–2:30 PM; Wed, Sat: By appointment; Thu 12:00 PM–6:30 PM; Sun: 10:30 AM–5:00 PM

Recovering from intense physical activity demands an acute understanding of body mechanics, a perspective Dr. Lorena Lee brings from her background as a former professional athlete.

Operating with doctorate-level clinical training, she prioritizes patient empowerment by teaching individuals how to maintain their wellness independently. By focusing on the whole person rather than isolated symptoms, this native San Diegan accurately restores the natural balance of your body’s energy pathways.

The clinic relies on ultra-thin, sterile needles to ensure maximum comfort while treating chronic pain and complex digestive disorders.

However, because Dr. Lee operates the facility alone, securing emergency sessions depends entirely on her personal calendar.

Also, note that the practice strictly provides traditional Chinese medicine techniques, which means integrated Western physical therapy services aren’t available on-site.

Pros

  • Comprehensive management for diverse symptoms
  • High standards for hygiene and comfort
  • Deeply personalized diagnostic approach
  • Traditional energy balance restoration

Cons

  • Solo practitioner availability constraints
  • Lack of integrated Western therapies

Customer Reviews

I’ve been seeing Lorena for Acupuncture + Cupping for a couple months now and I truly could not recommend more! My body noticeably feels so much better & is more resilient. It’s also so much more than a treatment, she always gives me advice/tools that I can use at home. You should definitely book that appointment!!! (And ask for the heart shaped cups, they’re so cutie)

Dr Lee has been simply amazing in helping in my recovery of stroke. Shortly after I finish my outpatient rehab, I went to Dr Lee for treatment. My first treatment till now my recovery has been great. I was able to gain more movement faster and felt more sensation in my limbs. She’s very patience to listening to her clients. I very highly recommend her to anyone for those who haven’t tried acupuncture.

5. San Diego Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture

Website:http://sdherbalmedicine.com/

Address: 420 Walnut Ave, San Diego, CA 92103

Contact: (619) 501-7626

Hours: Mon-Fri: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM

A truly collaborative East-West healthcare approach defines the experience at San Diego Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture, where master-level acupuncturists actively coordinate care with local medical doctors.

The facility houses a dedicated on-site herbal pharmacy, allowing them to formulate custom remedies that perfectly complement their extensive acupuncture treatments.

While they excel at standard needle therapy for pain relief, they also use specialized physical therapy techniques like DCT (Dynamic Contraction Technique) to successfully break up persistent scar tissue.

The team additionally offers specific medical abdominal massages designed to detoxify internal organs.

However, these highly specialized alternative modalities often require a steep learning curve for patients expecting only traditional acupuncture sessions. Commuting for frequent treatments may also prove difficult unless you reside near their specific Hillcrest or Pacific Beach locations.

Pros

  • Custom-tailored herbal medicine formulas
  • Extensive range of specialty care programs
  • Direct sourcing for quality control
  • Collaborative medical provider network

Cons

  • Commute to their locations may be inconvenient
  • Steep learning curve for patients used to standard needle treatments

Customer Reviews

I’ve been seeing Dr. Erica Olson to help my menstrual cramps pain, as well as manage my depression symptoms. Her Reiki is incredible and the best I’ve ever received. She has such a beautiful personal and professional level of care, and great healing intuition as well! I highly recommend her for acupuncture and reiki, as well as the entire clinic and staff for herbs and care 🙂

Thank you all for all you do!

Great for pain and anxiety. Accupunctire with Ram has changed my life. I had a serious ankle & leg injury and would arrive in agonizing pain and walking with a limp, after acupuncture my limp would be completely gone and pain significantly decreased for days after.

Irregardless of the pain or stress I’m feeling, I always leave completely grounded and highly recommend it anyone that is seeking physical or emotional relief.
