Finding a great Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) specialist in San Diego can feel stressful when you’re already dealing with sinus pressure, allergy flare-ups, hearing concerns, or a child’s ear infection.
I know how frustrating it is to sit in a waiting room, wondering if the doctor will actually listen instead of rushing through the visit. So, I looked at local clinics that combine medical expertise with practical, patient-friendly care.
If it’s pediatric help, sinus relief, allergy treatment, or hearing support that you need, these are the San Diego ENT practices worth considering.
How much does an ENT specialist cost in San Diego?
An out-of-pocket new-patient consultation with an ENT specialist in San Diego typically costs between $100 and $200.
However, the final bill can scale higher depending on whether you require immediate in-office diagnostic procedures or incur hospital fees.
| Service Type | Estimated Cost |
| Basic New-Patient Consultation | $100 – $200 |
| In-Office Procedures (Add-on) | $30 – $350 |
| Hospital Facility Fees | $400 or more |
1. ENT Associates of San Diego

Website: https://www.ent-sd.com/
Address: 5565 Grossmont Center Dr, Bldg. 3, Suites 101 & 154, La Mesa
Contact: (619) 464-3353
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 11:59 AM and 1:01 PM – 4:00 PM; Phones: 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM
If your little one keeps getting ear infections, you want someone who understands children and not just adult sinus cases.
ENT Associates of San Diego stands out because Dr. Rowley S. Busino provides fellowship-trained pediatric ENT care. Impressively, the practice has served the area for more than 30 years.
I spoke with a friend whose son had a hearing test there, and she said the staff stayed patient and gentle throughout the appointment.
Plus, their dedicated audiology clinic is also convenient when hearing loss needs to be checked quickly. Their affiliations with Rady Children’s Hospital and Sharp Grossmont add another layer of reassurance.
The catch is location and scheduling since the office is in La Mesa and follows weekday hours with a midday break. It may take extra planning for families coming from central San Diego.
Excellent ENT
Dr. Moles is an excellent ENT. He listens carefully and performs procedures very well. I never feel that he is ordering or doing unnecessary procedures or tests. He quickly can get me in for an appointment if I have a new or concerning issue. He has helped me a great deal with a particular condition with kindness and expert care.

2. Sunset ENT & Allergy

Website: http://sunsetentsd.com/
Address: 4282 Genesee Ave UNIT 201
Contact: (858) 746-7882
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Chronic sinus problems can feel like a loop of sprays, pressure, and short-term relief, so I liked that Sunset ENT & Allergy offers in-office options that feel less intimidating than hospital surgery.
Their Balloon Sinuplasty work is a major strength because it helps open blocked passages without traditional cutting.
They also use the RhinAer wand, a radiofrequency device that targets the constant runny nose many people experience during allergy season.
I appreciate that the clinic pairs procedures with allergy testing and immunotherapy drops, which makes the care plan feel more complete.
On the downside, the office is closed on weekends, and the weekday-only setup can be tough if you’re trying to work around school or a full-time job.
Really listened to all of my concerns
I am fortunate to have been accepted into Dr. Coulter’s care at Sunset ENT. Dr. Coulter was able to diagnose and treat multiple conditions professionally, and with excellent bedside manner. I feel he really listened to all of my concerns and questions. I am already feeling better after following Dr. Coulter’s medical advice.

3. San Diego ENT

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Finding a clinic that handles both medical ENT concerns and facial aesthetic care isn’t always easy, but San Diego ENT does it well.
For starters, Dr. Marsha Reuther and the team cover otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, pediatric care, adult care, and facial rejuvenation.
I also liked seeing advanced hearing support here, including hearing aids and osseointegrated devices, or surgically anchored devices.
Their audiologist’s Mayo Clinic residency training adds credibility for patients who need more than a basic hearing check.
I visited the Regents Park Row location to ask about audiological solutions, and the office felt polished and professional. I just found it inconvenient that new patients must complete several forms before their appointment and that there are no weekend hours.
Bedside manner absolutely impeccable
After suffering for well over two weeks with a gushing bloody nose, one trip to the ER, and one trip to urgent care, I found Dr. Arnell. Bedside manner absolutely impeccable, soothing calm voice, and made everything easy to understand. He found the problem and painlessly cauterized the area.

4. Hillcrest Ear Nose & Throat

Website: https://www.hillcrestent.com/
Address: 4033 3rd Avenue, Suite 104
Contact: (619) 786-1321
Hours: Monday, 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM; Tuesday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Restless nights and heavy snoring can take over your routine, which is why Hillcrest Ear Nose & Throat caught my attention.
The practice is led by Dr. Chadwick Donaldson, a board-certified Navy veteran who focuses heavily on Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) strategies.
One of the biggest draws is the Inspire device, a specialized implant designed to help keep the airway open during sleep. The clinic also offers minimally invasive sinus procedures and online self-evaluation quizzes for sinus, sleep, and hearing concerns.
The central Hillcrest location is helpful if you’re also looking into acupuncture in San Diego for general wellness.
However, the office closes earlier than many clinics, has a later Monday start, and does not offer evening or weekend hours.
5/5 stars
Dr. Donaldson and the whole team have always treated me very professionally and kindly. Dr. Donaldson’s bedside manner is 5/5 stars, and he has a way of explaining the issue, treatment, and recovery process in a very digestible way. Front office staff is courteous and friendly as well.

Extremely satisfied
I came here for ringing in my ear and had a very positive experience. All other doctors were booking a month out, and I got in here the next day! The receptionist was very kind and polite. The nurse went above and beyond to help me and showed a lot of compassion.

5. SoCal Breathe Free Sinus And Allergy Centers

Website: https://socalbreathefree.com/
Address: 4765 Carmel Mountain Rd, Suite 104
Contact: (858) 369-1625
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
If local pollen counts make your week miserable, SoCal Breathe Free Sinus and Allergy Centers is worth a closer look. Dr. Matt D. Hershcovitch uses fellowship training to focus on minimally invasive nasal procedures and personalized allergy drop immunotherapy.
I like that the practice offers natural allergy drops as a convenient alternative to weekly shots, especially for people who want a less disruptive long-term plan.
Their Southern California allergen focus also makes the testing feel more relevant to daily life here.
The clinic can be useful for families comparing broader resources, such as elder care in San Diego, because adult sinus issues can overlap with sleep and quality-of-life concerns.
Just know the specialty is narrower. Patients who need complex neck oncology services or weekend appointments may be better served elsewhere.
Everyone makes you feel welcome
I have been to the SoCal Breathe Free office for years. The front desk staff is phenomenal, as well as all the medical assistants. My doctor is truly professional and personable. Everyone makes you feel welcome and goes out of their way to ensure customer service is at its finest.
